BMW/MINI USB MAP UPDATE CHECKLIST

1) Use a high-quality USB 3.0 stick from a reliable brand.
2) Capacity guideline:
   - 32GB minimum for smaller region packages
   - 64GB preferred for full Europe/North America packages
3) Format the USB to exFAT unless your guide requires FAT32.
4) Allocation unit size: default.
5) Ensure the USB contains only update files (no extra folders or media).
6) Preserve top-level folder structure exactly as delivered.
7) Verify package checksum before entering the vehicle.
8) Keep engine running or battery support active during update.
9) Do not remove USB while installation is in progress.
10) If interrupted, restart ignition cycle and reinsert USB.
11) Confirm map version from iDrive navigation settings after completion.
12) Archive your package + FSC notes for future update cycles.
